Position Available: Accounts and Operations Assistant

Conserve It is seeking a bilingual (English and Italian) part-time Accounts & Operations Assistant, who can start immediately with a small close team and the position will be based at our Melbourne CBD office with opportunities to grow into a full time role in near future. About the role

Conserve It is seeking a bilingual (English and Italian) part-time Accounts & Operations Assistant, who can start immediately with a small close team and the position will be based at our Melbourne CBD office with opportunities to grow into a full time role in near future. Key Responsibilities - Accounts

  1. Prepare quotes/ invoices/ credit notes to customers in local and foreign currencies

  2. Prepare purchase orders to suppliers in local and foreign currencies

  3. Accounts Payable

  4. Accounts Receivable

  5. Bank reconciliation

  6. Allocate credit card transactions with correct tax figures and internal staff expense claim

  7. Prepare product price lists in multiple currencies


Key Responsibilities – Operations

  1. Process Customers' orders and despatch goods for orders and book shipments

  2. Prepare documentation for shipping including sales order confirmation, tax invoices and commercial invoices, etc.

  3. Receive goods and stocking in

  4. Inventory management

  5. Manage enquiries from customers and suppliers

  6. Assist with organising events for clients and staff

  7. Reception administration and all other office admin role duties

  8. Any other responsibilities as required

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have/be: 

  • Proficient in reading, writing and speaking in both English and Italian 

  • Quick learner with excellent written and communication skills and problem-solving ability

  • Strong Numerical and analytical skills

  • Proven time management and capable of multi-tasking with high attention to detail

  • Ability to take responsibility of own workload, work autonomously and meet deadlines

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills

  • Discretion in relation to confidential and sensitive information

  • Experience with MYOB and/or Xero

  • Computer literate including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used software programs

  • Preferable 1+ year experience in Accounts: background in Accounts Payable and Receivable functions
